The concert of the 5th Khachaturian International Festival, headed by a brilliant young Armenian conductor Sergey Smbatyan, was held on December 11, 2017, in Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall located in Yerevan, Armenia.
The exceptional festival was remarkable with its structure and creativity. It brought together the brightest stars of the classical music to take part in the festival which is already being held in Armenia for five years. The festival is the celebration of the world classical music with the combination of jazz and world music.
At the Gala Concert of the festival, compositions by two great representatives of the Armenian Composers, Aram Khachaturian's Symphony No. 2 in E Minor and Avet Terterian's Symphony No. 3 were featured, and I as a duduk player had a huge contribution to the Avet Terterian's Symphony No.3. I am very excited to be a part of such international scale festival which is one of the most important events that happens each year in Yerevan, Armenia.
Those who were unable to participate in the festival, you can catch the live stream presented by the world's leading classical music channel Medici.tv.
